Bulgogi Steak(less) Sandwich

The Bulgogi Steak Sandwich: Veganized and De-glutenized.

The original version of this concoction comes from KoJa–a popular foodtruck in Philadelphia–and was featured on Huffington Post’s America’s Top Ten New Sandwiches.

The soft (and slightly chewy) hoagie roll is stuffed with tofu bulgogi, chili garlic sauce, oozy Daiya and a crapload of sauteed peppers and onions.

This is what my dreams are made of.

my bread kind of deflated/spread sideways while rising, but i’m keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out! the tofu is divine!

I just had to tell you that I made the buglogi tofu sandwiches last night – hoagies and all and it was AMAZING! One of my favorite vegan meals. I’m serious. It was pure genius! It was a bit of work, but I think that was because it was my first time through it. And I obviously need a bigger skillet because it took me several batches to get through the tofu. But the end result was worth every cotton pickin’ minute! I savored every bite!

  6. Most definitely dreamy! Gimme! I can’t show this to Mr. Wing-It or he will pester me incessantly until I make him a bulgogi sandwich. Too late! He just saw it! Help! :)

PS: Would you be mortified if I told you that I turned a couple of the Love Bugs into a banana-strawberry smootie? *instert evil laugh here*
