Save the Kales! new vegan tv show!

Hi lovelies!

I am so happy to announce that I am almost done with my next book*, Great Gluten-Free Vegan Eats Gone Global! I have to give a emphatic nod of appreciation to all the amazing people who are helping me out by testing, editing, and/or lending an ear while I groan through the last stretch: I love you!

These past few weeks, I’ve been on a constant schedule of wash (dishes), bake, sauté, rinse, and repeat. My laptop has crusted batter on the keys–despite my efforts to keep it clean–and my pants just may be a wee bit too tight. Ah yes, life is good.

You know what else is good?

This ridiculously adorable vegan tv show ! If you haven’t seen the Save the Kales! tv show yet, you need to watch it right now. And then tell all your friends about it. Here’s episode 2:

It’s no secret that I love me some Jaime K, but when I found out she had her own tv show, I pretty much freaked out with happiness. This, my friends, is exactly what television needs.

Currently her show airs on tv in the Lehigh Valley, PA and all over the internets–but I suspect there are some pretty big things in this show’s future. I, for one, am already addicted, and hope you become enamored with this incredibly cute and informative show as well. Jaime is one heck of a lady with all the things she accomplishes (Bethlehem Veg Fest being one of them. I will be doing a cooking demo there! …details to come!) but what I love best about her is that she is truly as cool of a person as she appears through her blog, videos, and now tv show. She has charm, wit, beauty, brains, and is one of the most upbeat, wise, and caring individuals I know. I think her true personality shines through nicely on camera, don’t you?

Also! Free stuff! Plus another video by Jaime K! And my book! Oh my goodness, I just may faint.

*said in an exasperated tone indicating both relief and joy, similar to how it feels to a pregnant woman in her last weeks of being “with child”. But instead of shouting “it’s a girl” or whatnot, I get to exclaim “it’s a book!”. Cue the sideways glances.

  4. Congrats on the new book! I just won a copy of your first book on Jessy’s blog(happyveganface) and was so excited to get it cuz my son is sensitive to wheat. So far we love your pancake recipe, which I subbed one of the flours for buckwheat because that’s what I had and eliminated the cherries because I didn’t have any. Pizza crust tastes great! I’m going to try to make the bread now. I’ll tell you how it goes.

That new book is gonna be a corker. I just know it! Meanwhile, my pants may be a tiny bit too tight too because whenever I’m in the kitchen I make dessert from GGFVE! I just ate slightly modified strawberry muffins (blueberries) for brekkie and I’ve got vanilla ice cream base in the fridge. I don’t even use my Arch Enemy, xanthan gum, but toss in some ground chia and they still still work perfectly well. That just proves your recipes are a chip off the old block – absolute genius. :-)
